People of color are running and winning in politics.

The 2018 election cycle has been filled with exciting stories of triumphant attempts and wins across the country. Here are some of the most thrilling among them:

Paulette JordanPaulette Jordan is running for Governor in Idaho. She has secured the Democrats Primary election win. As such, she is the first Native American woman to win a Gubernatorial nomination.

 

 

Omar-QudratOman Qudrat seeks to become the GOP’s first Muslim American member of Congress. 

 

 

Stacy Abrams

Stacy Abrams just won the Democratic Primary in Georgia. When she wins, Abrams could become America’s first black woman Governor. 

 

 

Wilmot CollinsWilmot Collins is now Montana’s first black mayor. By the way, he came to this country as a refugee over 20 years ago.
